PTA Membership Meeting and Special Presentation: Technology at School and at Home!
Please join us for a special presentation by Kara Millsap, MISD Technology specialist. Mrs. Millsap will share information about current tech-rich projects going on around the district in grades K-5, describe tech tools that are being used by students at school, and provide information about subscription tools that are available to support your student’s learning at home.

2016 -2017 Reflections Art Contest – Now Open

The theme for this year is: What is Your Story?
National PTA Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. Designed to encourage creative expression, the program aims to inspire original artwork based on a specific theme. All students are encouraged to enter in any of six arts categories: visual arts, photography, literature, musical composition, dance choreography, and film production. Detailed rules and entry forms can be found on the Reflections Art Contest page.
Hard copies of the entry form can also be found at the main office. For questions, please contact Nicole Cui.

Your child’s art can be on the cover of the yearbook!

Submit a design for the 2016-2017 yearbook cover contest. This year’s theme is Lakeridge Lions: Pride and Spirit. Download and print the entry form.  The deadline for submissions is Monday, Nov. 18 at 3:45pm. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.  One winner will be selected to be featured on the cover of the yearbook. Runners up will appear on the back cover. Contact Laura Schaps with any questions.

Mandatory Yearly Volunteer Training

All volunteers must complete volunteer training every school year. Please visit the Mercer Island School District webpage to complete your volunteer training. You will not be able to volunteer until you complete all the necessary steps.

School Calendar for 2016-2017 School Year

The Mercer Island Education Association (MIEA) and the District reached an agreement on the 2016-17 through 2018-19 calendars (three school calendars). The calendars are posted on the District website on the Student Calendar page.
